What is the Committee's role and duties?

The Committee is responsible for ensuring the long-term health and success of Danish Business Association in Singapore. The Committee acts on behalf of the DABS members to ensure that the association remains viable and effective both in the present and for the future. This also means that Committee Members are required to act with a high degree of honesty, trust and diligence and to act in the best interests of the association at all times.

Committee Member Selection

DABS aims to reflect diversity of the Danish Business community in Singapore. The board composition decision is based on the association’s needs and strategic direction. Likewise, DABS seek the understanding of the committee members competencies, experiences, attributes and capabilities to ensure a stable, long-serving board.

What does the commitment involve?

The Committee holds nine meetings and two strategic planning days per year. The minimum attendance of the committee members is expected to be 75% of meetings.

It is practice that ‘ad hoc’ committees are established to manage short-term activities that cease when the activities are completed. On occasion, Committee members must participate in activities such as larger business and networking events.
