Oil price plunges below zero as COVID-19 pandemic hits demands. But why, how and why now?

Recording of the ‘Coffee Table Discussion’ on 5 June 2020:

Can you explain to your kids what it means that “The oil price is below 0”?

In April, the oil price went below zero - a more than unusual news but coming in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, where the norm for what is unusual has changed. Yet, at DABS we are a few people who are still somewhat baffled to what that exactly means – from an oil price mechanism perspective, a supply chain perspective, a shipping perspective and a personal perspective – just to mention a few aspects. To help you understand better, we are organizing a webinar with a few industry players who will share their insights in a “coffee table discussion”. Bring your own coffee for this virtual discussion, where there will be ample opportunity to ask questions.
