    Årets Julenisse Award

“Årets Julenisse” is an award given by the DABS Committee to an individual or organization that over the last year(s) has made a significant contribution to the Danish society in Singapore.
A “significant contribution” does not necessarily have to be easily visibly by the “public” but can be contributions to Danish events over the year standing out from the average but not readily visibly by lay men.
Contributions may be in the form of new initiatives that is or will be of great value to present and future Danes taking up residency in Singapore for a period of time or it may be by supporting already existing events/activities over and beyond what one can expect as your “borgerpligt”, in particular events/activities that would not have happened without the engagement by the individual/organization nominated.
Preferable the contribution should have benefited the majority of Danes living in Singapore, but it may also be someone who has initiated a new (or contributed to keeping an activity alive) that only involves a smaller number of Danes in Singapore, contributing to the overall image of the Danish society in Singapore.
