19 January: Lifting the Haze with United Plantation & Copenhagen Zoo
The haze period in Singapore has not gone by unnoticed. Palm oil sustainability – what is that all about? What can we do? You are invited to join Carl Bek-Nielsen, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Director United Plantations who will talk about Why Sustainable Palm Oil and Carl Træholt, Copenhagen ZOO who will talk about Measuring and Monitoring Operational Impact on Biodiversity in a Palm Oil Landscape. 4 February: ScandBizBar 2016
Mix and mingle with like-minded business individuals and network with members and friends of the Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish Business Associations every 1st Thursday of the month. We meet in Absinthe, Boat Quay, a river embankment on the Singapore River, one of the oldest and most historical areas in the Central Region. More details will be sent to you in January.
19 February (Swiss Club, 10am-1.30pm): Event with top Speaker Christian Ørsted – Author of 'Livsfarlig Ledelse' (Lethal Leadership)
Christian Ørsted has worked with a number of the world’s strongest brands with increasing marketing effectiveness. Furthermore, he has assisted Scandinavian companies with starting new business units, or creating new companies from strategy development, business planning, raising capital, hiring employees and training management and sales people in leadership development and skills training. 17 March: DABS' Annual General Meeting (Swiss Club, 6.30pm onwards)
DABS is inviting members and friends to participate in our AGM. The DABS committee is always on the lookout for energetic and committed candidates to join the committee and becoming an important part of the oldest and most important Danish business network in Singapore. 9 April: DABS Charity Ball 2016 with entertainment by the most popular singer in Denmark since the middle of the 1980s; Thomas Helmig!
Come sing and dance with Thomas Helmig and Band at the grand hotel Ritz Carlton for another fantastic DABS Charity Ball. Tickets will be on sale in January but it is already now possible to sign up as sponsor and secure a VIP table. An invitation will be sent to you soon.
Soon it will be time to renew your membership with DABS for 2016. Your membership has enabled us to accomplish so much this year. We could not have done it without you!
