The shot gun start went off as planned at 1.30 pm and the 23 flights began their play, hackers and semi pro's alike.
A great golfing day evolved on the perfectly cut and groomed Laguna Masters course, with a flurry of sponsored holes, decked out with various novelty competitions, and hole events at some of the tee-boxes.
The players then returned for dinner in the Vineyard lounge, where a BBQ feast was set up combined with scrumptious north atlantic seafood buffet, all washed down with premium beer from Carlsberg and some lovely "grape-juice" from Italy and Argentina.
A surprise highlight was the presence of the Danish 8 time 24 hour Le Mans winner, Tom Kristensen, and TV3+ commentator covering the F1, Jens Hansen, who were both guest of the DABS president, Mr Henrik Ziegler. In the spur of the moment they gave an inspiring talk/interview on stage, sharing their views on the F1 in Singapore.
The winners were announced in the end of the evening by Mr Oliver Andersen, committee member of DABS and organiser of the event. Ms Jenny Ong, invited by Bona Far East & Pacific was the winner of the ladies division with 33 pts. Mr Giancarlo Roggiolani, invited by Grundfos was the winner of the men’s division with 38 pts, rendering the split up of trophies for the next year, as the ladies trophy will shine at the Swedish Embassy, and the men's trophy equally glowing at the Royal Danish Embassy.
Once again we, the organizers, would like to give special thanks to all the sponsors of the event, along with all the players who graced the event with their support and presence.
