Do you know what to do if you require medical treatment?
Dr Niek ter Mors from International Medical Clinic will provide a doctor’s perspective and give an introduction to accessing care and treatment as well as health factors you need to be aware of during your time in Asia. This including common health conditions and what should you be aware of when travelling in the region. Dr Niek ter Mors will among other things talk about Children’s Health; vaccinations, management of asthma and allergies, insect bites and common diseases in this region like mycoplasma, HFMD (hand, foot and mouth disease) and dengue.
John Gordon and Emily Shaw from Expat Insurance will provide an overview of the Singapore medical system and how it differs from many of our home countries. They will share insight on what you need to be aware of when purchasing insurance and how to avoid the financial burden of treatment costs in Singapore. If your Company provides you with health insurance benefits, John Gordon and Emily Shaw will highlight how to evaluate if that cover fits your family’s needs and the options available to top-up coverage privately.
