We have all witnessed nature’s heartbreaking devastation in the Central Philippines. The desperate need for money - here and now - for bare necessities such as potable water, food, shelter, medicine and first aid to simply save lives is all too obvious. Later on aid in form of material donations for rebuilding lives will be equally important.
The Danish community in Singapore is committed to saving and rebuilding lives. We have created the aid group “Let’s make a difference” with Danish Red Cross which will be followed by fundraising and donation initiatives.
The first fundraising is in conjunction with the Annual Christmas Bazaar at the Danish Seamen’s Church 23rd
and 24th November. The usual entrance fee will be replaced by a voluntary entrance fee which will be donated in full to “Let’s make a difference”. Last year, a record 1500 visitors graced the event. Let’s beat it this year. Show up. Be generous. Help us making your friends aware of this fantastic opportunity to make a difference by sharing our festive Christmas mood with the Philippines.
We look forward to welcoming you to this must-attend event and to making a difference together.
