The annual DABS ball took place at the posh Shangri-La for the secnd year running. Among many highlights was the entertainment by Papkasse Band and the tribute to the first ever honorary member of DABS. Heine Askjaer-Jensen has been part of DABS since the beginning more than 25 years ago. Generously standing applause followed as he received he honour along with his wife Bitten. After much dancing and networking the ending of the night was also typical Danish: hotdogs were served before everyone headed home around 3 am.
Morten Løkkegaard visited DABS and Singapore in November. In an inspiring and passionate speech at the Tanglin club, he gave the members a close up interpretation of what's at stake in the Wuro zone and in the EU. At that time all the headlines were pointing a Greece, but Løkkegaard focused on Italy and how the Euro was all too important for Germany, France and the whole EU as such to let it go down the drain. As time has showed, he was spot on. Morten Løkkegaard also gave an insight into the new EU constriction that gives more power to the parliament.
